The Business of Ministry – Witnessing!
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ! Christian
Outfitters is please to have you visit our website.
For more than 50 years, Christian Outfitters has
been glorifying the word of our Lord Jesus Christ through our inspirational
line of clothing. We, as Christian, are witnesses for Jesus Christ. We are His
vessel, His Instrument, His tool, His Ambassador. . . He uses us to witness!
. . And you will be my witnesses, telling
people about me everywhere— in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to
the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8 NLT
Christian Outfitters allows you to wear your witness!
Matthew 9: 3 – (NKJV) And Jesus went about all the cities
and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the Gospel of the
Kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when
He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were
faint (bewildered, loss, confused) and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no
shepherd. Then said He unto His disciples:” The harvest truly is plenteous, but
the laborers are few. Pray ye therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that He will
send forth laborers into His harvest. We, as Christians, are the laborers! In fact, most of our
mission work should be done from Monday through Saturday, in the fields! It is
the Business of Ministry. . . . Typically, Sunday is for re-generation. . .
re-tooling . . . re-dedication . . . re-energizing. . .
Have you given thought as to how you define yourself in
the body of Christ? Which of the following best describes your behavior;
preacher, teacher, apostle, prophet, evangelist, disciple, witness, saint . . .
benchwarmer, part-time participant, drag along. . .
Let’s be clear, all believers are ministers of the
gospel . . . we are ministers of a new covenant . . . 2 Corn 3:1-16
(NLT). We should be working in the harvest fields sharing the good news, sharing
the gospel! As we allow Him, the Holy Spirit uses us to witness in our home, our
community, our neighborhood, our city, our state and throughout the world (the
fields).
The staff at Christian
Outfitters is praying for the Holy Spirit to pollinate the seeds
that we sow through our inspirational apparel, allow them to grow such that the
harvest can be gathered at His appointed time. Our mission is simple, to be a
witness! Our opportunity to witness is enormous!
Opportunity to Witness
90% of un-churched people would go if they were invited,
yet only 20% are ever invited!
80% of first time visitors go to church because they were
personally invited.
According to Gallup Poll (2010) 43% of individuals in USA
attend church on a regular bases; i.e. almost every Sunday. . . . . this means
that it is highly likely that if you’re in the harvest field that 1
out of every 2 people that you meet, do not attend church on a regular bases. .
.
Women still make up a majority of those in the pews: 46
percent of the nation’s women attend church, 37 percent of the men attend
church.
Don’t
confuse your mission with the Holy Spirit’s mission;
i.e., we cannot save anyone! We should not “beat people up” about salvation! Our
mission is to lift up Jesus. He will do the drawing. Our job is not to convict
or judge, the Holy Spirit will bring about conviction!
Our mission is to witness and allow the Holy Spirit to do
His work. Consider dedicating up to 2 hours of your time each week to
witnessing! Think of it as a tithing of your time! Wear your inspirational
message (your witness) where people can read the words. . . Then watch and feel
the Holy Spirit work and speak through you. There
is no need to preach to the people you meet. There is no need to be a
fanatic! There is no need to exert pressure. There is no need to
make a nuisance of yourself. Our mission is to be a witness.
Christian Outfitters provides you
with products that allow you to wear your witness! You’ll be surprise how
many people will read your message. To God be the glory!
Blessing to you! We appreciate your business.
